The Au Sable, Manistee and Boardman Rivers each offer a different type of fishery with wild brown and brook trout.

In Michigan, our peak dry fly fishing occurs between late April and the 4th of July. Most of our major mayfly hatches occur in this time frame. From July through mid September it’s small streamers and terristrials in clear water creeks and rivers. From mid September through December is peak streamer fishing with your best shot at a trophy fish.
